Joseph Vinciquerra

Joseph Vinciquerra is the Technology Director for the Materials organization at GE Research.

Most recently, Joe was the Additive Platform Leader at GE Research, responsible for shaping and executing the research and development strategy for Additive Manufacturing. In this role, Joseph worked closely with the GE businesses to ensure programmatic alignment and to drive technical synergies across the entire portfolio of Additive Manufacturing projects at GE Research.

Joseph is an aerospace engineer with nearly twenty years of advanced technology research and development experience, primarily centered around materials technology. His work has included: the design of composite aerostructures; the development of nanotechnology-enabled materials; the deployment of novel experimental methods for predicting failure in polymer- and ceramic-matrix composites; and the maturation of industrial, metals-based additive manufacturing. Prior to his current role at GE Research, Joseph held positions in GE as Senior Principal Engineer, Technology Platform Leader for Additive Materials and Emerging Modalities, Manager of the Additive Materials Laboratory, and Manager of the Materials Processing and Testing Laboratory. Over the years, he has had the privilege of working with a number of world-class teams, leading numerous multi-disciplinary research efforts in the areas of alloy development, materials behavior, and the convergence of AI and materials science.

Joseph earned his Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering and his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from Syracuse University. He additionally earned a Master’s degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Business Management, with a concentration in Radical Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
