Originally from Long Grove, IL. Design, experimentation, and analysis along with significant coursework in the fields of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and machine learning. Fabrication experience with the lathe, mill, MIG welder, and other machines. MS research focused on determining thermal conductivity, heat capacitance, and heat transfer coefficients of particles for packed-bed flow for concentrated solar power and thermal energy storage systems as part of US DOE's Gen3 CSP project; funding through NREL and Brayton Energy. Undergrad research in conjunction with a PhD candidate on multi-phase, multi-component cryogenic refrigeration for a Joule-Thomson cycle with a micro-heat exchanger.
