Janith Samarasinghe is a Research Engineer in the Thermosciences organization at GE Research with expertise in experimental analysis of combustion instabilities, acoustic signal processing, and data analytics. Since joining GE Research in 2017, Janith has worked on the testing and development of the combustor components in a range of GE's Aviation, Marine and Industrial gas turbines. His recent interest in data analytics led to his involvement in DT4D℠ where his work involves developing surrogate models for renewables applications. Janith received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University.

Outside of work, Janith enjoys rowing, scuba diving, and wildlife photography.
