Courtney is in the Edison Engineering Development Program at GE Research.
Courtney's first rotation was with the Component Heat Transfer team in the Thermosciences organization, where she modeled power and thermal management systems for GE Aviation and GE Renewables. Specifically, Courtney modeled power and thermal management systems for next-generation narrow body aircraft engines, Hybrid Electric aircraft motors, and Offshore wind. She also worked within the Digital Thread for Design (DT4D) landscape.
Courtney received her BA degree in Physics from DePauw University, where she also minored in Studio Art and had a Chemistry course emphasis. Courtney received her MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
