Brian Mitchell is a Senior Principal Engineer at GE Research with responsibilities for the development of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software that is used extensively by GE Aviation and GE Power in the design of high performing jet engines and land-based gas turbines.

Brian has been at GE Research for 25 years. His career has focused on the areas of CFD code development, aeromechanics, and acoustics.

He holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
