GE Renewable Energy’s oil pressure units have been specifically designed for hydropower which has let GE Renewable Energy reduce the number of parts and simplify the component. GE’s NEYRPIC* range of oil components regulate oil flows within a hydropower plant from a few litres to several cubic meters per minute under pressure from 10 to 250 bars. High pressure units require smaller servomotors and less oil, reducing cost.  

ROBUST AND RELIABLE

NEYRPIC* oil components have a design life of over 40 years and are capable of withstanding harsh turbine operating conditions such as high vibration levels and low oil filtration (up to 150 μm). GE’s oil pressure unit provides multiple functions integrated into one component, which helps improve reliability when compared to other “off-the-shelf” components.
