GE helps to build professional talent and local communities around the world by investing in them. We strengthen local capabilities by hiring fresh graduates and experienced professionals into GE’s world-renowned leadership development programs in areas such as finance, communications and sales & marketing. We support diversity through initiatives such as the GE Women’s Network. And we contribute to improving the lives of those in the communities we serve through the GE Volunteers Chapter.
- Problem: Pakistan is home to the world’s sixth largest population, more than 50% of which is below 25 years of age. One of the most important elements of reaping the potential demographic dividend is to create jobs in Pakistan.
- GE Solution: GE has created 450+ jobs in Pakistan (150+ direct and ~300 indirect) and helped strengthen professional skills and leadership potential through investment in ongoing training and placements in leadership development programs.
