(GEH SMR Canada), Cameco Corporation (Cameco) and Synthos Green Energy (SGE), a member of the Synthos Group S.A., have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to evaluate the potential establishment of a uranium fuel supply chain in Canada capable of servicing a potential fleet of BWRX-300 small modular reactors (SMRs) in Poland.

GE Hitachi Names New Global Government Affairs Leader

WILMINGTON, North Carolina—September 22, 2021—GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH) has named Adam DeMella its global government affairs leader.  

In this position DeMella will lead GEH’s domestic and international government affairs. He joins GEH from Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) where he served as director of federal affairs. Before that he served as a professional staff member for the U.S. Senate Committee on Appropriations, overseeing a portfolio that included nuclear energy and national security funding within the Department of Energy.

WILMINGTON, NC—July 28, 2021—The Leibstadt Nuclear Power Plant (KKL) has awarded a long-term contract extension to GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH) to provide outage services for the plant in Leibstadt, Switzerland.
