MONTREAL - GE Capital announced today that it provided a three-year C$26 million credit facility to SIR Corp. ("SIR"). SIR, which has a number of agreements and interests related to SIR Royalty Income Fund (TSX: SRV.UN), will use the credit facility to refinance a current revolving line of credit and construction facility, and to facilitate the repurchase of certain of its common shares.
Wandoan Power Project from GE & Stanwell Shortlisted for CCS Flagship Program.
BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA---December 8, 2009 --- The Wandoan Power Consortium welcomed today's announcement that its proposal for one of the world's first integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) plants with carbon capture and storage (CCS) has been shortlisted for the next stage of the federal government's CCS Flagship Program. The Wandoan Power Consortium is working to develop a state-of-the-art cleaner coal plant in Queensland.

VANCOUVER -- Skaters will take to the ice at the GE Plaza at Robson Square today -- the first time the Robson Square ice rink has seen activity since 2000, thanks to a Vancouver 2010 Winter Games partnership between GE and the Province of British Columbia.

MISSISSAUGA, ON (NOV 19, 2009) -- GE Canada announced today that its Motors business is planning to invest up to $100 million over five years to improve the design, production and process capabilities at its Peterborough Ontario based motor production facility.
Building on a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by Ontario and GE in September 2009, Ontario is investing $15 million over 5 years from the Next Generation of Jobs Fund to support GE's investment to strengthen its Peterborough facility position as a global centre of excellence.
