GEヘルスケア（本社：英チャルフォント セントジャイルズ、プレジデント兼CEO：ジョン・ディニーン）は1月8日（火）、同社が開発を進めるPET（陽電子断層撮影装置）検査向けのß（ベータ）アミロイド検出用薬剤「18F-Flutemetamol（フルテメタモール）」の承認申請が、米国および欧州の規制当局に受理されたことを発表しました。同薬剤については、アルツハイマー病（AD）の疑われる成人患者の脳内ßアミロイドの画像化への使用を目的に、米食品医薬品局（FDA）に新薬承認申請（NDA）が、欧州医薬品庁に販売許可申請（MAA）がそれぞれ提出されていました。
