NEW ORLEANS, LA. and ROTORUA, NEW ZEALAND---October 5, 2010---To comply with stricter environmental requirements, Rotorua, New Zealand has selected GE's (NYSE: GE) advanced bacteriaremoving membrane bioreactor (MBR) technology for the upgrade of the city's wastewater treatment plant. This will be the largest MBR plant in New Zealand and also marks the first use of the GE MBR technology in the country.

RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA; GE (NYSE:GE) has signed agreements worth approximately $700 million to supply power generation equipment and long-term services for a new gas-fired, independent power plant that will help Saudi Arabia, the Middle East's largest economy, meet a growing need for residential and industrial power. The new power plant, Riyadh PP11, will constitute 15% of the power generation capacity in Saudi Arabia's Central region.
