東京、コネチカット州ノーウォーク（2011年5月24日）-- GE キャピタル リアル・エステート（以下、「GEリアル・エステート」）とアバディーン・アセット・マネジメント（以下「アバディーン」）は、4億ドルの共同投資ビークル「東京レジデンシャルJV（The Tokyo Residential JV）」 の設立を発表しました。GE リアル・エステートとアバディーンは、このJVを通じて今後2年間で東京の賃貸用住宅の取得を目指しています。
日本GE株式会社 代表取締役社長兼CEO、マーク・ノーボンは、「今回のJV設立は、GEが引き続き日本市場に期待を寄せていることを示している」と述べています。GE は、グローバルな不動産事業の専門性を外部投資家のために提供するという戦略を掲げており、今回のJV設立はその戦略の一環となります。
