在东航董事长刘绍勇和GE航空集团总裁兼CEO戴维·乔伊斯（David Joyce）的见证下，GE航空集团大中华区总裁向伟明和东航股份副总经理冯亮于4月6日举行的签约仪式上签署了该协议。
“在过去的两年里，我们一直与东航密切合作，通过对飞行数据进行分析，为航空公司找到节省运营成本的机会，在这方面，我们已经取得了喜人的进展，”GE航空集团总裁兼CEO戴维·乔伊斯表示。
本协议将两家公司的合作延长了一年，双方将就飞行分析、发动机管理分析和燃油效率三个方面展开合作，帮助东航改善机队运营效率。同时凭借GE作为一家发动机制造商的专业经验和技术，GE将为东航提供培训项目来改善东航发动机的管理能力，同时也为东航提供六西格玛培训项目。
