Paris, France, April 16th 2019 -- GE Renewable Energy announced today that it has signed a Memorandum Of Understanding with Eolien Maritime France (EMF) confirming its commitment to provide and service Haliade 150-6MW turbines to the first French EMF offshore wind farm to be cleared of any legal recourse. This memorandum of understanding terminates GE's exclusive supplier status on the two other projects carried out by EMF. The terms of the Memorandum of Understanding have not been made public.
- GE has reached an agreement with Helios Energy to integrate two energy storage and solar systems together
- The hybrid system will be installed in upstate New York at the end of 2019 and is expected to reach commercial operation in the second quarter of 2020
- The innovative DC-coupled solution improves solar yield and overall efficiency of the system while enabling dispatchable renewable energy into the grid
