November 14, 2002 -- EVENDALE, Ohio - Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has selected GE Aircraft Engines (GEAE) to power eight new Boeing wide-body aircraft.
As part of a fleet expansion program, PIA ordered GE's GE90-94B engine to power three 777-200ER aircraft. In addition, PIA ordered the higher-thrust GE90-115B engine to power three longer-range Boeing 777-300ER aircraft and the derated GE90-110B1 engine for two 777-200LR aircraft.
Based on the manufacturer's list price, the value of the engine order for the eight GE90-powered 777s exceeds $400 million.
