April 15, 2003 -- HANOI, Vietnam - Vietnam Airlines has accepted delivery of its first GE90-powered Boeing 777 aircraft.
In February 2002, the airline selected GE Aircraft Engines' (GEAE) GE90-94B engine to power the two 777-200ERs it is leasing from International Lease Finance (ILFC). The GE90-powered 777 is the first longer-range aircraft to enter service with the airline.
