June 30, 2004 -- EVENDALE, Ohio - Continental Airlines has ordered 35 Performance Improvement Program (PIP) upgrade kits for the GE90-90B engines powering its Boeing 777 fleet.
Continental is the sixth airline to order the PIP kit. Air France, Austrian, Kuwait Airways, China Southern and Saudi Arabian Airlines have purchased GE90 upgrade kits.

June 29, 2004 -- TOULOUSE, FRANCE - In a ceremony held here today, China Airlines, the leading carrier of Taiwan, took delivery of its first Airbus A330-300 aircraft, powered by the GE's CF6-80E1 engines.
Last year, Taipei-based China Airlines selected GE's CF6 engines to power 12 Airbus A330-300s. China Airlines currently operates 33 aircraft, powered by GE and CFM56 engines, produced by CFM International, a 50/50 joint company of GE and Snecma Moteurs of France.

June 22, 2004 -- EVENDALE, Ohio - GE Marine reported that its LM2500 aeroderivative gas turbine will power the Royal Australian Navy's (RAN) eighth ANZAC-class frigate, Nuship Ballarat. The frigate was recently delivered to the RAN during a ceremony in Williamstown, Melbourne, Australia.
The ANZAC ship program is a collaboration between the Australian and New Zealand governments, involving the development and construction of 10 new ANZAC class frigates - eight for the RAN and two for the Royal New Zealand Navy.
