Air France Industries Sets Up Repair Facility for the Engine Alliance's GP7200 Engine

October 25, 2004 -- EVENDALE, Ohio - Air France Industries, one of Europe's leading airlines MRO Division, is setting up a maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) center for the GP7200 engine, the best-selling powerplant for the Airbus A380.
The center, to be located in Paris, will serve as a repair facility for the Engine Alliance, a 50/50 joint venture between General Electric Company and Pratt & Whitney, which is developing the GP7200 engine. The Air France facility will work as a part of the Engine Alliance MRO network.

October 14, 2004 -- EVENDALE, Ohio - Air China announced this week a $66 million order for CFM56-5B engines to power six additional Airbus A319 aircraft. The order will more than double the airline's CFM-powered A319 fleet when the new aircraft are delivered in 2005; Air China currently operates five CFM-powered A319s.
CFM56-5B engines are produced by CFM International, a 50/50 joint company between Snecma Moteurs and General Electric Company. CFM, celebrating its 30th anniversary, is the world's leading supplier of commercial aircraft engines.
