LYNN, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 16, 2006--GE - Aviation has been awarded a $26.4 million contact modification by the United States Navy for the purchase of 60 T58 module kits, with an option for 60 more in FY2007, for Marine Corps H-46E helicopters.
The contract calls for 96 titanium nitride (TiN) coated airfoil kits for upgrades of modules previously delivered under the T58 Engine Reliability Improvement Program (ERIP), plus miscellaneous tooling. Work will be done in Lynn, Massachusetts, and is expected to be completed in November 2007.

EVENDALE, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 21, 2006--Air India has ordered GE engines valued at more than $2.2 billion at list price to power its new Boeing 777 and 787 fleets. The agreement was signed today at Asian Aerospace between Mrs. Sulekha Shrivastava, Southeast Asia Regional Manager for Air India, and David Joyce, Vice President of GE - Aviation's Commercial Engine Operation.
The airline has ordered eight 777-200LRs and 15 777-300ERs, all powered by the GE90-115B engine.

SINGAPORE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 21, 2006--Indian, formerly known as Indian Airlines, has signed the final agreement with CFM International for the purchase of the CFM56-5B engine to power its new fleet of 43 A320 family aircraft scheduled for delivery between late 2006 and 2010. The engine order is valued at more than $500 million at list price.
CFM56-5B engines are produced by CFM International (CFM), a 50/50 joint company between Snecma and General Electric Company.
