April 26, 2005 -- JAKARTA, Indonesia - GMF AeroAsia and GE Transportation Aircraft Engines today signed a two-year component repair contract worth approximately $10 million over the life of the contract.
GMF AeroAsia, the maintenance arm of Garuda Indonesian Airlines, was established in 1984. Today, it provides maintenance and overhaul support of the engines in the airline's fleet, in addition to supporting other third-party customers at its facilities in Jakarta.
GE's service facility in Singapore will provide the majority of the component repair under the new contract.
April 25, 2005 -- EVENDALE, OHIO - Air Canada has ordered 18 Boeing extended-range 777 aircraft, powered by GE90 engines, along with purchase rights for an additional 18 777 aircraft.
The value of the GE90 engine order for the firm aircraft is more than $600 million.
The 777 aircraft fleet will be a yet-to-be-determined mix of 777-300ERs, 777-200LRs, and the 777 Freighter. Air Canada's 777 deliveries are scheduled to begin next year with the arrival of three 777-300ERs.

April 25, 2005 -- EVENDALE, Ohio - The Boeing Company has selected General Electric Company's GEnx engine to power the proposed 747 Advanced airplane.

April 6, 2005 -- EVENDALE, Ohio - GE Transportation's marine gas turbine business announced it has delivered its LM500 aeroderivative Auxiliary Turbine-Generator Set (ATGS) for installation at the United States Navy's DD(X) next-generation destroyer land-based test facility in Philadelphia, Pa. This marks the first use of GE's LM500 genset for an electric drive application.

March 24, 2005 -- EVENDALE, Ohio - General Electric Company's F110-GE-129 engine is powering Boeing's newest fighter aircraft, the F-15K, in flight tests this month in St. Louis, Missouri.
The Republic of Korea (ROKAF) selected the F110-GE-129 engine (rated at 29,000 pounds of thrust) to power 40 F-15K Strike Eagle aircraft for its "Next Generation Fighter" program. Aircraft deliveries are scheduled to begin later this year and end in August 2008.

March 22, 2005 -- SINGAPORE - Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise (SALE) today announced the purchase of up to 40 Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft powered by CFM56-7B engines. The deal covers 20 firm orders and 20 purchase rights, with deliveries between the fourth quarter of 2006 and the end of 2009. The firm engine order is valued at approximately $240 million at list price.

March 21, 2005 -- EVENDALE, OHIO - General Electric Company has surpassed a key milestone in the GEnx engine development program in committing to a final architectural design.
Called "Tollgate 6" in GE nomenclature, completing this stage in the development process launches the detailed design phase. Also, fabrication of components is underway, leading to assembly of the first full engine in October. The first engine goes to test in 2006.

March 15, 2005 -- GE Transportation's marine gas turbine business, at its Evendale, Ohio facility, manufactured all the LM aeroderivative gas turbines for the following projects. The LM gas turbine-generator sets were built and sold by GE Energy, headquartered in Houston, Texas.
To date, 22 LM2500+ and four LM2500 GE gas turbine-generator sets are in operation or slated for service on 17 cruise ships.

March 15, 2005 -- MIAMI, Fla. - GE announced that its fleet of 25 aeroderivative marine gas turbines has accumulated more than 320,000 hours operating aboard 16 cruise ships. GE remains the only gas turbine manufacturer to have its engines in service on cruise ships, the company reported today at the Seatrade Cruise Shipping Convention.

March 14, 2005 -- EVENDALE, Ohio - The F110-GE-132 engine, the latest generation of GE F110 engines powering F-16 fighters, is supporting the U.S. Air Force's (USAF) Product Support F-16D aircraft used for production line assistance and customer demonstration flights.
Originally developed for the unique United Arab Emirates F-16E/F, the F110-GE-132 (32,000 pounds of thrust) now provides a higher-thrust option for Block 50 F-16 aircraft - the most advanced configuration in the USAF inventory.
