CF34 engine line passes 200M hours, 157 million cycles

The CF34 engine line has surpassed 200 million flight hours and 157 million flight cycles. In the history of GE and CFM*, only the CF6 and CFM56 engine lines have accumulated more commercial flight hours. Only the CFM56 has accumulated more flight cycles.

The CF34-1A engine entered service on the Bombardier Challenger 601 Corporate Jet in 1983. There are more than 600 Bombardier Challenger and CRJ 100/200 business jets in service.

GE’s engineers at JFWTC develop job description decoder: To help make hiring managers more inclusive

Engineers at GE’s John F Welch Technology Centre in Bengaluru have developed an inhouse tool to help hiring managers write more inclusive job descriptions. Called the JD Decoder, the tool has been under testing for over two years now.

“We have decided to open the tool up to all our hiring managers and talent acquisition teams in South Asia,” said Sukla Chandra, I&D Council leader, GE South Asia. “This is another step forward in our inclusion journey,” Chandra added.

GE begins industry’s first adaptive cycle engine tests at Arnold Engineering Development Complex

TULLAHOMA, Tenn. – The U.S. Air Force and GE on March 25th initiated Phase 2 testing of GE’s second XA100 adaptive cycle engine at the Air Force’s Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC). This milestone marks the first test of an Adaptive Engine Transition Program (AETP) engine at AEDC.

CFM ve Airbus, Hidrojen Yanma Teknolojisine Öncülük Edecek

GE ile Safran Aircraft Engines tarafından 50/50 oranında kurulmuş anonim şirket olan CFM International (CFM) ile Airbus, 2020'li yılların ortalarında gerçekleştirilecek hidrojen tanıtım programında iş birliği yapmak üzere anlaşma imzaladı.

Program, 2035 yılına kadar sıfır emisyonlu bir uçağın hizmete sunulmasına hazırlık amacıyla, hidrojen ile çalışan doğrudan yanmalı bir motorun yerde ve uçuş sırasında test edilmesini amaçlıyor.
