GE Oil & Gas to Revamp Compression Train at Trinidad and Tobago LNG Plant

FLORENCE, ITALY (March 26, 2003) --- GE Oil & Gas has received a contract of nearly US$28 million to revamp and upgrade liquefied natural gas (LNG) process train #1 at the Atlantic LNG Company's production facility in Point Fortin, Trinidad and Tobago.
Train #1 is composed of six turbo compressors driven by Frame 5/2C gas turbines. GE Oil & Gas will upgrade the gas turbines to Frame 5/2 D technology which will increase the output of each unit by 13%, to 43,700 HP.

GE Hydro to Upgrade Generators at Northern California Power Station

ATLANTA, GEORGIA (March 24, 2003) --- GE Hydro has received a contract of more than US$7 million to upgrade and install two generators at the Jaybird Hydroelectric Powerhouse in northern California. The 154-megawatt Jaybird facility is owned by the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) and is located on the south fork of the American River near Placerville, California.

GE Wins Small Hydro Project in New Brunswick, Canada

March 17, 2003

LACHINE, QUÉBEC (March 17, 2003) --- GE Hydro, a business unit of GE Power Systems, has been awarded a contract by J.D. Irving, Limited, Saint John, New Brunswick, to supply two hydro turbines for a new, 15-megawatt hydro power plant in St. George, New Brunswick. Two other GE businesses, GE Industrial Systems and GE Global Controls, will also provide equipment for the project.
The new generating facility, which replaces an existing small hydro power plant that has reached the end of its useful life, will be attached to an existing dam and reservoir to be modified for this use.

GE Supplies Turbo Compressor Packages for New Gas Compression Plant in Brunei

FLORENCE, ITALY (March 13, 2003) --- GE Oil & Gas received a contract of US$50 million to supply three gas turbine-driven turbo compressor packages and additional equipment for a new onshore gas compression plant in Brunei.
Owned by Brunei Shell Petroleum and Brunei Liquefied Natural Gas, the new plant will compress gas coming from existing offshore platforms, and will have a total capacity of 24 million standard cubic meters per day.
