GE Infrastructure's GE Fanuc Automation division has recently won two significant technology innovation awards from two different leading publications for its Proficy solution.

This is according to Daniel Coetzee, Business Manager for the GE Fanuc Automation division in Sub-Saharan Africa.

These two technology innovation awards are:

"The awards add to the momentum gained by the IAN Automation Excellence Award that was given to the Proficy family back in August 2004," Coetzee maintains.

GE Mobile Water Units Expected to Help More Than 220,000 Tsunami victims

Trevose, PA ---January 12, 2005--- GE Infrastructure, Water & Process Technologies has donated two, 52foot mobile water treatment units and the resources of more than 50 GE engineers, scientists and projectmanagers to provide safe drinking water to Indonesian families affected by therecent tsunami. GE is working with the Indonesian government and relief agencies to coordinate the water distribution.

75-ton water purification system to depart Sharjah this evening on world's largest aircraft

Sharjah, January 10, 2005: Today, Assist International announces the donation by GE of a water purification system that will produce at least 432,000 gallons of potable water per day in Banda Aceh, the northern Indonesian province that was the hardest hit by the tsunami. The equipment has the potential to provide drinkable water for 110,000 Indonesians per day. GE expects the system to be functional as soon as next weekend, January 15-16.
