Technology Designed to Allow Taller Towers while Lowering Wind Farm Installation and Transportation Costs
SCHENECTADY, N.Y.--11 February 2011-- GE (NYSE: GE) announced today the acquisition of next generation technology from Wind Tower Systems, LLC (WTS) that is expected to enable taller wind turbine towers. The need for taller, cost-efficient towers is becoming an important factor in the wind industry as blade lengths increase.
Washington, D.C.---February 10, 2011---Today the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit heard arguments in GE's (NYSE: GE) patent dispute against Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) for certain wind turbine technologies that GE alleges MHI has infringed. GE spokesman Dan Nelson released the following statement:

GE Technology to Help Visalia Increase its Use of Recycled Water
VISALIA, Calif.--03 February 2011-- A growing demand for water is taking a heavy toll on the water table under the central California city of Visalia. To ease this burden, the city is upgrading its wastewater treatment plant, which will increase the amount of water that can be recycled and help reduce the need for pumping groundwater. The upgraded plant will feature GE's (NYSE: GE) membrane bioreactor (MBR) technology and will be the largest MBR plant in California when it enters service in 2013.
Pact Allows GE to Offer High Efficiency Water Solutions to a Larger Base of its Global Industrial Customers
TREVOSE, Pa.--01 February 2011-- GE (NYSE: GE) today announced it has completed a new expanded licensing agreement that will allow the company to continue offering High Efficiency Reverse Osmosis (HEROTM) systems to help more of its industrial customers increase their water usage efficiency and reuse capacity as the international community works to address mounting shortages of clean water.
