June 20, 2003 - From June 20 to 29, Ireland will be hosting the 11th World Special Olympic Games. In the framework of its athlete support program, General Electric has sponsored 72 athletes from 19 European countries, including four Russian athletes: Galina Shcherbakova from Irkutsk, Olga Rybakova and Dmitry Badanin from Yoshkar-Ola and Sergei Yuzva from Moscow. All these athletes come from correctional or boarding schools. They successfully competed in elimination contests and have joined Russia's national equestrian team.
