GE To Supply Ten Wind Turbines for Inner Mongolia Project

ATLANTA--Oct. 8, 2003--GE Wind Energy announced today it will supply ten of its 1.5-megawatt wind turbines for the 15-megawatt Huitengxile Wind Power Plant of Inner Mongolia, People's Republic of China.

The project will feature the largest wind turbines and the most advanced technology installed to date for a wind project in China. In addition to the wind turbines, GE will supply technical advisory support for installation and commissioning, as well as service and technical support for the project.

In an agreement valued at US$11 million, GE will increase the performance of five of the carrier's GE90-90B engines, enabling non-stop flights from Kuwait City to New York.

通用电气动力系统集团在杭州开工水电设备生产基地

世界领先的发电技术、设备和服务的供应商通用电气动力系统集团 (GEPS)继年初成功收购克瓦那杭州电气设备有限公司（克瓦那杭发）的大部分股权后，近期在杭州开始动工建设一个全新的水利发电设备的生产基地。

整个生产基地占地近130,000平方米的面积。该新厂的设计蕴涵着丰富的现代精益制造理念和零库存理念，将是中国国内同类唯一的富含现代制造理念的工厂。新厂建筑结构荷载达300吨，它将能生产单机600兆瓦的发电机组，足以满足国内99%发电项目的需求。新厂将于2004年建成投产，2005年初起投入全面生产。

新的现代化生产基地属于通用电气亚洲水电设备有限公司，作为GE动力系统集团下属的水电部全球运营的一部分，致力于生产全球领先水利发电设备。

通用电气亚洲水电设备有限公司是GE动力系统集团收购克瓦那杭发后成立的企业，拥有这家已成功经营5年的 合资企业的大部分股权。GE持有90％的股权，杭州工业资产经营有限公司持有其余10％的股权。

从2002年底完成这一收购，GE水电亚洲已经为新的生产基地签订了80万千瓦水轮机的订单。

GE动力系统集团董事长兼首席执行官约翰.赖斯在访问中国期间宣布了这一消息。赖斯9月25日抵达中国，开始了他为期4天的业务访问，并首次在中国举行了GE动力系统集团的全球高层会议。

WILTON, Conn. & GREENWICH, Conn.--Sept. 25, 2003--Littlejohn & Co., LLC, a private investment organization, and GE announced today they have entered into a definitive agreement for Littlejohn Fund II, L.P. to purchase GE Superabrasives, a leading supplier of manufactured diamond, cubic boron nitride, and polycrystalline products. Specific terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The closing of the transaction is subject to customary conditions, including the receipt of regulatory approvals. The closing is expected to occur by January 31, 2004.
