(2007년 3월 22일- 서울) GE동북아시아 본부 (사장 겸 최고경영자 스티브 버타미니)는 2007년 4월 1일자로, GE코리아의 신임 대표에 황 수(黃 秀: 46) 총괄 사장을 임명한다고 오늘 발표했다.
황 사장은 GE의 한국 사업(2006년말 기준, 매출 1조 7천억원, 구매 1조원)의 두 자리 수 성장을 주도하며 한국에서 가장 모범적인 외국기업의 역할 모델로 자리잡는데 주력하게 된다. 그는 GE의 소비 및 산업(Consumer & Industrial) 부문의 북아시아 사장으로서 GE의 리더십개발센터인 '크로톤빌연수원'에서 경영자 리더십 훈련(BMC)을 받는 등 GE의 차세대 경영 리더중의 한명으로 성장해 왔다.
1997년 7월, GE 석영사업부에 한국과 대만 담당 국제영업 및 응용엔지니어링 담당 임원으로 입사한 이후, 2000년 12월, GE 특수소재 사업부의 미국 본부(오하이오주 클리브랜드)에서 반도체관련 석영 제품의 글로벌 마케팅 책임자로 일했다.
