GEヘルスケアグループの日本法人であるGE横河メディカルシステム株式会社（本社：東京都日野市、社長：三谷宏幸）は分娩監視装置事業に参入します。
米ゼネラル・エレクトリック（GE）のヘルスケア事業部門であるGEヘルスケア（本社：英チャルフォントセントジャイルズ、プレジデント兼CEO：ジョセフ・M・ホーガン）は約30年前から、分娩監視装置『Corometrics（コロメトリクス）』を製造・販売しております。日本国内においては現在、アトムメディカル株式会社（本社：東京都文京区、社長：松原一雄）が輸入販売をしておりますが、GEヘルスケアはアトムメディカルと締結している販売契約を 2007年3月31日付で解消します。
GE横河メディカルシステムは今後、必要な薬事承認を取得した後に、GEヘルスケア製分娩監視装置の輸入販売を開始、分娩監視装置事業に参入します。
