(“SpinCo”), which will hold a portion of GE Transportation, a business unit of GE.

【アラブ首長国連邦・シャルジャ首長国 2019年1月29日】 GE（NYSE: GE）と住友商事株式会社（TSE: 8053）は、官民連携の一環としてアラブ首長国連邦シャルジャ首長国のシャルジャ首長国電力水庁（SEWA）との間で、同国ハムリヤに1.8ギガワット規模のコンバインドサイクル発電所を開発・建設・運営する25年間の売電契約（PPA）を締結したことを発表しました。世界最大最高効率を誇る重構造型ガスタービンを含むGEのHAテクノロジーを導入するこの旗艦プロジェクトは、完成時には中東の公共事業セクターで最高効率の発電所となる見込みであり、SEWAの全般的な発電効率が大幅に改善されます。プロジェクトは3つのコンバインドサイクルブロックで構成され、最初のブロックは2021年5月に稼働開始の予定です。
