JAKARTA, INDONESIA --- October 19, 2011 --- In a ceremony in Jakarta, GE and PT. Nusantara Turbin Dan Propulsi (NTP) signed an overhaul support agreement covering CT7 engines that power CN235 turboprop aircraft. This further expands the successful collaboration between the two companies on the CT7 program that dates back over 20 years. NTP is subsidiary of PT. Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI), formerly IPTN.
On Saturday, 15 October, approximately 80 General Electric ("GE") employees and members of the GE Women's Network donned pink tee shirts and participated in the "Healthymagination Walk" from Westin Hotel to Lot 10, along Jalan Bukit Bintang. The walk was done to promote breast cancer awareness and saw GE employees distributing educational brochures on breast cancer prevention and screenings to members of the public. This is part of GE's efforts in fighting breast cancer through raising awareness and ensuring public education.
