Second Intake of Abu Dhabi Engineers Graduate from GE Oil & Gas University in the Middle East

ABU DHABI, UAE - November 22, 2009 -- Twenty-three engineers and technicians have today graduated from the second Middle East intake of GE's Oil & Gas University Programme, an initiative aimed at providing leadership and technology training for oil and gas professionals in Abu Dhabi.

Experts from GE and professional associates covered various aspects of the energy industry during the course, which was specifically designed for employees of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and its group of companies.

$5 Million Site Upgrade Offers Additional Services and Capacity to Expanding Customer Base

ABERDEEN, Scotland--Friday, November 20, 2009-- GE Oil & Gas has enhanced its European drilling and production equipment repair, maintenance and refurbishment capabilities with the official opening of a new global services facility in Montrose, Scotland.

$5 million (£3 million) has been invested in the site, which was officially opened today by Alastair Birnie, chief executive, Subsea UK, and David Smith, interim CEO, Scottish Development International.

Building on a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by Ontario and GE in September 2009, Ontario is investing $15 million over 5 years from the Next Generation of Jobs Fund to support GE's investment to strengthen its Peterborough facility position as a global centre of excellence.
