Construction Equipment Dealers See Double-Digit Growth in Rentals, Says GE Capital Survey

IRVING, TX, MAY 21, 2014 --- Construction equipment dealers are optimistic that rental activity will remain strong, according to a survey recently conducted by GE Capital, Equipment Finance. In fact, they estimate that the rental segment of the industry will grow about 12 percent this year.

The number of children under the age of 5 who died around the world in 2013 fell by almost two-thirds compared to mortality rates in 1970, a major international study reports. That proportion represents 11.3 million fewer young children dying of injury, disease and malnourishment every year from then to now.

When Alfred Sloan created the modern corporation at General Motors, he based it on the military.  The company was split into divisions, each with its own leadership. Information flowed up, orders went down and your rank determined your responsibility.

The model was designed to implement strategy from the top and move men and materiel efficiently.  It assumed that leaders had better nderstanding than those on the lower rungs.  Managers made plans and foot soldiers carried them out.

GE Capital Aviation Services Delivers Leased Boeing 737-300SF to New Customer Trigana Air

SHANNON, Ireland, May 22, 2014 -- GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing arm of GE, today announced delivery of a leased Boeing 737-300SF freighter aircraft to a new airline customer, PT Trigana Air Service.

Indonesia's Trigana Air will use the aircraft to expand its fleet. Trigana Air currently operates a fleet of nearly 20 passenger and freighter aircraft to more than 20 destinations in Indonesia.
