JAL Group Selects GE Engines to Power New Aircraft
EVENDALE, Ohio--Sept. 1, 2003--JAL Group (JAL) has selected GE Aircraft Engines' CF6-80C2 engine to power its seven new Boeing 767-300ER aircraft to be introduced under an operating lease. The deal is valued at more than $120 million. The 14 engines will be delivered over a three-year period, starting in 2004. JAL has one of the largest CF6-80C2 fleet in the world, says Kenji Uenishi, General Manager, Sales-Japan, GE Aircraft Engines. This selection reinforces the airline's confidence in the reliability of the CF6 engines.
