BELFORT, FRANCE (September 25, 2003) --- Four F-technology gas turbines supplied by GE Energy have entered commercial service at two combined-cycle power plant projects in Spain, and are producing nearly 300 megawatts of power for ENDESA, Spain's largest electric utility.
The two projects are Barranco de Tirajana in Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, and Son Reus II in Mallorca, Balearic Islands. The four MS6001FA (Frame 6FA) gas turbines were provided to Duro Felguera of Asturias, Spain, the general contractor to ENDESA for both projects.
ATLANTA, GEORGIA (September 24, 2003) --- GE Wind Energy, a business unit of GE Power Systems, has been selected by ENERSIS SA to supply 16 wind turbines and construct two turnkey wind farms in Portugal.
The two projects are Lomba da Seixa II, sited in northern Portugal near the cities of Braga, Vilareal and Porto; and Senhora da Vitoria, sited near Nazaré, north of Lisbon in the central western section of Portugal. Each site will utilize eight GE 1.5-megawatt wind turbines.

FAIRFIELD, Conn.--Sept. 19, 2003--General Electric is joining the ENERGY STAR (R) Million Monitor Drive, a new U.S. Environmental Protection Agency campaign to address efficient power management. GE has pledged to enable energy saving power management features on approximately 100,000 computer monitors across their U.S. based businesses.
The feature automatically powers down monitors when they are idle for 20 minutes. This monitor power management will not affect computer or network performance. A simple touch of the mouse or keyboard "wakes" the machine within seconds.
