In total, the orders and commitments are valued at more than US$1.3 billion.

Air China Doubles CFM56-Powered A319 Fleet with $66 Million Order

October 14, 2004 -- EVENDALE, Ohio - Air China announced this week a $66 million order for CFM56-5B engines to power six additional Airbus A319 aircraft. The order will more than double the airline's CFM-powered A319 fleet when the new aircraft are delivered in 2005; Air China currently operates five CFM-powered A319s.
CFM56-5B engines are produced by CFM International, a 50/50 joint company between Snecma Moteurs and General Electric Company. CFM, celebrating its 30th anniversary, is the world's leading supplier of commercial aircraft engines.
