February 23, 2006---GE Energy was awarded a $9.2 million contract by Mondi Business Paper South Africa to provide an LM2500+ aeroderivative gas turbine generating set for its facility in Richards Bay, South Africa. This represents the first natural gas-fired industrial cogeneration project in South Africa.
The LM2500+ gas turbine generating set is configured with a six-stage, low-speed power turbine and a dry low emissions combustor. It will be supplied with chilling coils in the gas turbine inlet system.

Sharjah, February 22, 2006 -- Sharjah Electricity & Water Authority (SEWA) has selected GE Energy's gas turbine technology for the Hamriyah Power Station, located in the Emirate of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
GE will supply four Frame 9E gas turbines for phase one of the simple-cycle, base load power plant, which will add 380 megawatts of capacity to the Sharjah electricity grid. The primary fuel will be natural gas.

EVENDALE, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 21, 2006--Air India has ordered GE engines valued at more than $2.2 billion at list price to power its new Boeing 777 and 787 fleets. The agreement was signed today at Asian Aerospace between Mrs. Sulekha Shrivastava, Southeast Asia Regional Manager for Air India, and David Joyce, Vice President of GE - Aviation's Commercial Engine Operation.
The airline has ordered eight 777-200LRs and 15 777-300ERs, all powered by the GE90-115B engine.

SINGAPORE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 21, 2006--Indian, formerly known as Indian Airlines, has signed the final agreement with CFM International for the purchase of the CFM56-5B engine to power its new fleet of 43 A320 family aircraft scheduled for delivery between late 2006 and 2010. The engine order is valued at more than $500 million at list price.
CFM56-5B engines are produced by CFM International (CFM), a 50/50 joint company between Snecma and General Electric Company.

EVENDALE, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 21, 2006--India's Jet Airways has selected GE's CF6-80E1 engines to power its 10 Airbus A330-200 aircraft. The value of the engine order is more than $300 million. The airline is scheduled to begin taking delivery of the new aircraft in 2007.
