SHANNON, Ireland - February 9, 2016 - GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, today announced its Regional Aircraft Group signed an agreement with Air Berlin PLC for three new leased Bombardier Q400 NextGen turboprop aircraft. The first aircraft is scheduled for delivery in September and the two others in October and November. The aircraft are part of GECAS’ existing order book with Bombardier.

WILMINGTON, NC-February 4, 2016-FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company has awarded a contract to GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH) to provide outage services for the Perry Nuclear Power Plant.
The contract calls for GEH to provide a full portfolio of outage and inspection services including refuel floor, under-vessel activities and control rod drive mechanism exchange services for the boiling water reactor in Perry, Ohio.

The outage, completed in partnership with Exelon Generation at the R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant in Ontario, New York, was completed under budget and ahead of schedule with no safety-related or human performance issues.
