For the fourth time in the last five years, GE has been named number one in a list of best Companies for Leadership, according to a survey conducted by the Hay Group, a global management consulting firm. Named among the 20 Best Companies for Leadership in BusinessWeek.com/ Hay Group survey, GE has put a premium on selecting, developing, and retaining strong leaders at every level.
BANGKOK, THAILAND --- March 15, 2011--- GE Aviation and Thai Airways International (THAI) are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the first delivery of GE's CF6-80C2 engines that powered the airline's Airbus 300-600 aircraft. This CF6-80C2-powered aircraft was delivered to THAI in October 1985, and was the first airline to operate this engine, which is GE's best-selling wide-body engine and set a GE record for the longest running commercial engine production line.
The government of Thailand has asked industrial companies to reduce their emissions, in support of a national initiative to improve the country's air quality. Thaioil Power, a subsidiary of Thai Oil, which is Thailand's largest oil refiner, has taken some significant steps in that direction.
GE announced strong fourth-quarter 2010 earnings from continuing operations (attributable to GE) of $3.9 billion, or $0.36 per share, up 33% from the fourth quarter of 2009.

Third Quarter Earnings
GE announced third-quarter 2010 earnings from continuing operations (attributable to GE) of $3.2 billion, with EPS of $0.29 per share up 32% from the third quarter of 2009.
