NAIROBI, March 22, 2010 -- As the world marks the World Water Day on Monday, GE is calling for the widespread adoption of water reuse practices, which can help address the global threat of clean water scarcity.

Roger Obare, Territory Manager for GE Water & Process Technologies, said the World Water Day offers an excellent platform for raising awareness in Kenya about the critical need to increase the quantity of the country's supply of fresh water.

First GE Locomotives Arrive in Nigeria

New technology for Nigeria's rail system

Erie, Pennsylvania, USA and Lagos, Nigeria (February 5, 2010) The Nigerian Ministry of Transport and GE Transportation announced today that the Nigerian Railway Corporation has taken delivery of the first five C25 diesel locomotives -- introducing new technology to Nigeria's rail system. The locomotives will be used for both freight and passenger service. The remaining 20 locomotives will be delivered in the second half of 2010.

Fourth Quarter Earnings
