Garuda Indonesia Becomes Newest LEAP-1A Customer

Issued at the Dubai Air Show 13 November

DUBAI, U.A.E. -- 13 November 2011 -- Garuda Indonesia today announced that it has selected CFM International's advanced LEAP-1A engines to power 10 new Airbus A320neo aircraft scheduled to begin delivery in 2017. The engine order is valued at approximately $220 million U.S. at list price. The aircraft will be operated by Garuda low-cost subsidiary Citilink.

Nusantara Turbin Dan Propulsi (NTP) signed an overhaul support agreement covering CT7 engines that power CN235 turboprop aircraft. This further expands the successful collaboration between the two companies on the CT7 program that dates back over 20 years. NTP is subsidiary of PT. Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI), formerly IPTN.

JAKARTA, INDONESIA -- June 3, 2011 -- 7 in 10 Indonesians polled in a GE Energy-commissioned survey recently identified 'Air Pollution' as their greatest environmental concern. The results, derived from face-to-face interviews with 350 Indonesians representing a cross section of society, also revealed strong concern about toxic fumes from non-biodegradable products and rising use of chemicals in industry, both of which contribute to air pollution.
