The Indian IoT market is expected to grow to USD 15 billion with 2.7 billion connected devices by 2020
Bengaluru, October 5, 2016: General Electric India Technology Centre (GE ITC) in partnership with National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) and Deloitte, launched “IoT: A Revolution in the Making”, at the NASSCOM Design & Engineering Summit, Bengaluru. This is a study by NASSCOM and Deloitte, supported by GE.
· A dedicated line for 765kV GIS has been established at the Chennai facility to cater to the growing demand of 765kV GIS in India
· In line with the ‘Make in India’ vision of the government, localised 765 kV GIS will be manufactured from GE’s state-of-the-art facility at Padappai in Chennai
· GE has the largest GIS bays reference in India; out of 755 GIS bays commissioned till date, 308 bays have been manufactured at the Chennai facility

GE reported GAAP continuing operations EPS of $0.36 and Industrial operating + Verticals EPS of $0.51, +65%.

New Delhi, India - June 7, 2016 - Alstom Bharat Forge Power Private Ltd. (ABFPPL), the joint venture company between GE and Bharat Forge Ltd., has signed a contract worth $219 million approximately (14950 M INR approx.) with NTPC Limited. The Company will supply two units of 800 MW ultra-supercritical Steam Turbine Generator Islands, on EPC basis, along with related civil work for the Telangana Super Thermal Power Project Phase-1 near Ramagundam, Karimnagar district of Telangana State, India.
