New Delhi, November 9, 2006 - GE Water & Process Technologies, a unit of GE Infrastructure, today announced that it has won its first sea water desalination plant project in India from Tata Chemicals Ltd. The contract is valued at US $6.5 million. GE Water and Process Technologies will provide Tata Chemicals a Mobile Sea Water Desalination plant for 4 yrs of operation on a build-own-operate (BOO) basis.
Day venue becomes Day/Night venue in record 60 days for ICC Championship
Jaipur, November 3, 2006 - Jaipur's Sawai Man Singh Stadium has joined a prestigious list of day/night venues for international cricket matches in India after successfully hosting six matches, including the second semi final between West Indies and South Africa on November 2nd, during the ICC Champions Trophy 2006. Mark VI-ITCC technology to be used for the first time in India
New Delhi, September 13, 2006 - GE Energy's Optimization and Control business has won an order from GAIL (India) Limited to supply GE's Mark VI control systems featuring Integrated Turbine Compressor Control (ITCC) technology for a retrofit project at GAIL's liquefied petroleum gas processing plant in Vijaypur in Madhya Pradesh. This is the first-ever installation of this technology in India.
