Bangalore 29 October, 2007 --- General Electric's largest multi-disciplinary center outside of the US, The John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC), has announced the appointment of Rajagopalan (Raj) Raghavan as its Human Resources Leader.
In his new role as HR leader for GE-JFWTC, Raj will be responsible for all aspects of Human Resources and Communications for the center.

Rated as the 'Best Green Power Plant' in Asia
New Delhi, September 10, 2007 --- A demonstration cattle waste-biogas cogeneration project in Punjab, India, powered by GE Energy Jenbacher gas engine, has been chosen as the 'Best green power plant' in Asia at the 2007 Asian Power Awards. In order to reduce the dairy complex's greenhouse gas emissions and to prevent the improper disposal of the animal wastes, the Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) had installed and commissioned this demonstration power generation facility in 2004.

With this initiative, JFWTC aims to encourage innovation and creativity at the work place.
