Company continues to grow revenues, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and meet other ecomagination goals
FAIRFIELD, Conn.--27 May 2009-- GE today announced that it has surpassed its first ecomagination goal to reduce its own greenhouse gas intensity, and is making progress against its other goals for revenue growth, water and technology innovation.
GE announced first-quarter 2009 earnings from continuing operations (attributable to GE) of $2.8 billion, or $.26 per share attributable to common shareowners, down 40% from first quarter 2008.

UltraScan™ Duo Pipeline Inspection Tool Uses Sensors Developed by GE Healthcare
CALGARY, Alberta--06 April 2009-- GE Oil & Gas' PII Pipeline Solutions group is completing its largest pipeline inspection project by helping TransCanada evaluate the condition of an 864-kilometer (537 mile) portion of a natural gas pipeline in Canada. This part of the pipeline, which covers a span equivalent to the distance between Paris and Berlin, needed to be inspected prior to being converted to carry crude oil as part of the Keystone Oil Pipeline.

GE Canada's, Mississauga Headquarters building was awarded LEED-EB (LEED Existing Building) Certification through the US Green Building Council (USGBC) on February 14, 2008. This is the FIRST such certification in Ontario, and the FIRST GE site globally, to achieve EB Certification.
