GE Mining announced that it had finalised the purchase of business assets from mining technology company, Infotronix Pty Ltd.
The transaction, which includes testing, laboratory, assembly and warehousing facilities, allows GE Mining to expand its current mining technologies business offering to bring more solutions in real time monitoring, data capture and reporting for its mining customers globally.
GE Capital announced today that it is serving as administrative agent on a $100 million multi-currency revolving credit facility for Billabong International, the Australia-based sports-apparel company. The new credit facility, which closed in December, will be used to refinance existing debt and provide working capital to support the company's growth. GE Capital Markets served as lead arranger on the facility.
GE announced fourth-quarter 2013 operating earnings of $5.4 billion, with earnings per share of $0.53, up 20% from the fourth quarter of 2012.

South Australian healthcare providers and patients will benefit from improved access to treatment, better education, and advanced research as part of a world-leading 5 year partnership announced today between GE Healthcare, SA Health and the South Australian Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) .
As part of this agreement South Australia's first Cyclotron™ is currently being installed and will be operated out of the new world class health and biomedical precinct that includes SAHMRI, the Royal Adelaide Hospital and the University of South Australia.
GE's high-performance LEAPmbr* membrane bioreactor (MBR) wastewater-treatment technology will be the centerpiece of an upgrade to Unitywater's Maleny sewage treatment plant in Queensland and is expected to allow the plant to double the amount of water treated per day to one million litres.
GE (NYSE: GE) today announced it had entered into a strategic alliance with Macquarie Capital to cater for the growing global demand for infrastructure funding and development.
The agreement will see the companies working together to create new and flexible solutions to global infrastructure challenges for potential users of GE technology across sectors as diverse as renewable energy, power and water.
GE announced third-quarter 2013 operating earnings of $3.7 billion, or $0.36 per share, down 3% and flat respectively from the third quarter of 2012.
