GECAS and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) today announced the launch of the Boeing 777-300ERSF, and the establishment of a passenger to freighter conversion program. Dubbed “The Big Twin” — denoting its status as the largest ever twin-engined freighter — the initiative is jointly funded by GECAS and IAI.
Beijing, 1 August, 2019 – GECAS has delivered the first of four A320neo headed to Yunnan Hongtu Airlines (Hongtu Airlines). As announced at Farnborough 2018, Hongtu Airlines (operating as Air Travel) has agreed to lease four of the new-technology narrowbodies from GECAS’ skyline orderbook. This delivery marks the first LEAP-powered A320neo to enter service with Hongtu Airlines.

Shannon, Ireland, July 31, 2019 – GECAS has contracted with Ural Airlines to provide two A321neo aircraft from the lessor’s orderbook, with deliveries in October and December of this year. The narrowbody aircraft will be the first LEAP-powered A321neo to enter service in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

Dublin, Ireland, July 2, 2019 – The Milestone Aviation Group Limited (“Milestone”), today announced the acquisition of an incremental Sikorsky S-92A aircraft, MSN 920155, bringing their total S-92A fleet to 79 units. GECAS and Colorful Guizhou Airlines have agreed to a lease agreement for four A320neo aircraft from the lessor’s orderbook, with deliveries beginning in late 2019 and continuing into 2020. Headquartered in Guiyang, south west of China, this agreement marks the airline’s foray as a narrowbody operator.
