Among the seven new officers is Joseph Anis, who has held several roles leading major business initiatives for GE Energy in the Middle East and Africa throughout his 13 years at GE.
GE officers lead large revenue generating businesses or are in critical functional roles, helping to drive growth. GE currently has 199 GE officers globally.

GE announced second-quarter 2010 earnings from continuing operations (attributable to GE) of $3.3 billion, with EPS of $0.30 per share up 15% from the second quarter of 2009.

Dammam, Saudi Arabia: Further expanding its knowledge-sharing commitment to Saudi Arabia and the region, GE (NYSE:GE) today announced it will add a training center at the site of the new GE Energy Manufacturing Technology Center in Dammam. The new advanced Training Center will bring GE's total investment in the Dammam site to approximately $100 million.
Doha; June 23, 2010: Senior Executives of GE Oil & Gas and Al Shaheen Energy Services (ASES), a 100% subsidiary of Qatar Petroleum (QP), hosted a celebratory dinner reception in Doha, Qatar to mark their joint venture agreements, signed last month.
The two companies have signed partnership agreements consolidating the presence of PII Pipeline Solutions -- which provides pipeline inspection and integrity services worldwide - and establishing a joint venture for aftermarket services of oil and gas turbomachinery equipment in Qatar.
