RasGas Company Limited Lauds GE for Role in Train 5 Project
FLORENCE, ITALY -- May 8, 2007 -- GE Oil & Gas technology played a significant role in the successful start-up of RasGas Company Limited's LNG train 5 at Ras Laffan Industrial City in Qatar -- a project that will help make Qatar the world's largest LNG producer.
1Q'07 Highlights (Continuing Operations)
FAIRFIELD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GE announced today record first-quarter 2007 earnings from continuing operations of $4.5 billion or $.44 per share, up 8% and 10%, respectively, from first quarter 2006. Revenues from continuing operations were $40.2 billion, up 6%, increasing 8% organically.

Doha, Qatar; January 8, 2007: GE Energy has signed a multi-million dollar, 20-year Contractual Service Agreement(CSA) with Qatar Electricity and Water Company (QEWC) covering three GE Frame9FA gas turbine-generators at the Ras Abu Fontas B-2 power plant and desalinationproject in Qatar.
QEWC was established in 1990 to operate and maintain electricity generation and water desalination plants. The company is 43 per cent owned by the government, with the remaining shares held by individual and institutional Qatari investors.

Doha, 13 July 2006: Doha Asian Games Organising Committee (DAGOC) and Global technology, media & financial services company General Electric (GE) Company today signed a strategic agreement announcing that GE will be an Official Partner for the 15th Asian Games Doha 2006. GE will provide temporary power generation for Doha 2006 for approximately 40 competition and non-competition venues around Doha.

Doha, Qatar; October 30, 2006: GE's Oil and Gas business has been contracted to supply three Frame 6B gas turbines that will provide approximately 120 megawatts of power for a LNG production facility in Ras Laffan owned by Qatar Liquefied Gas Company Limited 2, 3 and 4 of Doha, Qatar.
