Around the world, there is more salty groundwater than fresh, drinkable groundwater. For example, 60 percent of India is underlain by salty water — and much of that area is not served by an electric grid that could run conventional reverse-osmosis desalination plants.GE announced second-quarter 2014 operating earnings of $3.9 billion, with operating earnings per share of $0.39, up 8% from the second quarter of 2013.

New Delhi July 17, 2014-- Jet Airways, India's premier international airline extended its OnPointSM solution agreement with GE Aviation for an additional five years on the fleet of GE90 engines that power the airline's Boeing 777- 300ER.
