General Electric (GE), a global diversified infrastructure and finance company providing global solutions for cleaner and more efficient sources of energy, signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore opportunities in generating renewable energy from Palm Oil waste, with Sinergi Perdana Sdn. Bhd., a business consortium comprising the Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA), Felcra Berhad (FELCRA) and the Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority (RISDA).

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA -- Nov 1, 2011 -- GE Healthcare (NYSE:GE) announced that progress for the establishment of the Diagnostic Services Nexus (DSN) is running smoothly, with Phase 1, consisting of setting up DSN and four initial hospitals, well underway.
This follows the announcement of DSN as an Entry Point Project (EPP) under the Healthcare National Key Economic Area (NKEA) of the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) in March this year.

On Saturday, 15 October, approximately 80 General Electric ("GE") employees and members of the GE Women's Network donned pink tee shirts and participated in the "Healthymagination Walk" from Westin Hotel to Lot 10, along Jalan Bukit Bintang. The walk was done to promote breast cancer awareness and saw GE employees distributing educational brochures on breast cancer prevention and screenings to members of the public. This is part of GE's efforts in fighting breast cancer through raising awareness and ensuring public education.
